Working as a Subcontractor to Peter Luizzi Bros. Contracting, Arold
Construction was tasked with rehabilitating the open-ended culverts with a trenchless method known as cured in place pipe (CIPP). The culverts ranged in size from 24” to 84” in diameter and 100 LF to 250 LF in length. Arold Construction had a tight window to complete the installations at night due to the heavy traffic and have the road open to all lanes of traffic by 6 AM daily. One unique challenge of the project was the installation of a 60”, 72” and 84” Diameter Liner which had to be manufactured and transported from Bessemer, AL. Each liner weighed nearly 30,000 pounds and required detailed execution between everyone involved to coordinate the wet out of the liner, delivery, and installation around wet weather conditions. The project was managed by Matt Gardiner, Drew Wolff and Tom Hughes. The Field Superintendent was Ben Felshaw. Our contract value was approximately $1,300,000.
