Hudson Cliffs – Sojourner Truth State Park, Kingston, NY

This project was the first phase for the new Sojourner Truth State Park in Kingston, NY. Located at the site of the former Hudson Cement Plant in East Kingston our team installed a new park entrance road, parking lot, bike trail and hiking trail. Recycled concrete from the former cement silos was used as the road and parking lot base material and topped with type 2 subbase. Other site improvements included a porous concrete handicap parking area, asphalt trail connecting to the Empire State Trail, signage, interpretive panels, a kiosk, wildflower seeding, fencing and gates. This Project was managed by Tom Petersen & Rian Baker. The Field Superintendent was Tom Petersen Jr. Our contract value was $1,831,000.00
